This is called a true mirror, supposedly reflecting your real face as seen by others. The way it is set up is more like a carnival mirror, with a big seam down the middle of your face. Going to the Goodwill.

This mirror is great for seeing your “true” reflection or how others see you. I tried to make my own but had no luck. I found this mirror on gigamirror.com and was very surprised by the quality. The mirrors are seemless and the box surrounding it is pretty sturdy. On the back side you have a regular front facing mirror and the other side has the “true” one. I definitely recommend to anyone who is curious about how others see you. It is quite fun after a while.

Very nice! Really good mirror. If anyone want to see your own face just like what everyone else sees you, this is it. And the frame is quite sturdy too.

This has allowed me to make adjustments to ensure my eyebrows and mustache are truly symmetrical. I’m very thankful I discovered the concept of a ‘true mirror’ through social media! It is also extremely high quality and its stand can be removed.

I have BDD and use to obsess about my face symmetry. I always felt like I had one side of my face that was prettier than the other and it really use to bother me and sometimes when I am in high anxiety; this mental illness still let’s me know that it’s there. I wanted to get this mirror to try to improve my makeup and to see myself doing face exercises to improve upon my symmetry.
This mirror has one side that’s just a regular mirror which defeats the purpose right? The true reverse mirror (how people see our face) is on only one side and it has a crack right down the middle so even then it makes it kinda hard to get a true accurate description. For this reason I will probably return it. Can a reverse mirror not be made without a big crack down the middle?
