   I purchased this mirror because all the fixtures in my new bathroom were to be chrome. Sadly, this is more like shiny metal than polished chrome. It’s a completely different color than the sconces, faucets, and other fixtures. Sadly, it took so long for the builder to hang that I missed the return deadline by two weeks. I have reordered the mirror in black so we don’t have clashing metals. The mirror itself seems perfectly fine. Just beware if you’re thinking you’re going to hang this beside chrome lights.

   Absolutely pleased with this purchase. The mirror is very well made and looks gorgeous. Mounting will require two people. It’s a bit tricky when the second set of screws need to be installed, but it’s not difficult. It’s very helpful to have a drill to use as the screws are long and there are will plugs involved. There is a piece of paper in the box that is a template to get the precise measurements for the mounting pieces which was incredibly handy.

   I’m an experienced carpenter and had a number of issues with the install of this mirror.

   Problem 1 — Used the included paper hole template which turned out to be not accurate. The mounting were too close together. In order to redrill new holes without them running together with the old ones, I had to hammer in and glue dowels into the incorrect holes in order to redrill the correct spacing.

   Problem 2 – Finally got it hung and noticed it was horribly out of level (mounting holes were dead nuts level). Sent it back for an exchange.

   Problem 3 – Same issue with the replacement mirror being completely not level. On closer inspection, the mirror was built incorrectly with the side hanging bolts horribly off location. I had to take it apart and shift the hole pattern on the attached mounts. After some monkeying around with it, this eventually corrected the problem but the whole experience was a huge hassle.

   I really like these. They feel like they are made well and seem sturdy. They use the butterfly/molly type bolts to attach the screws firmly into the drywall and not the flimsy anchors. The ONLY think I did not like was if you use a drill be VERY careful. We accidentally stripped part the X part of the screw head. If you use a screwdriver you’ll be perfectly fine.

   So I purchase the ‘used-like new’ mirror, the box came a bit beat up, but inside the mirror was fine, no damage. But it is not the “pill” shape that is shown in the listing or others reviews, it is a traditional old style oval. I assume that’s why it was returned before. I will be returning it, but want to warn the next person who decides to order the used one
