Before biting my teeth to order this mirror, I owned several makeup mirrors of different brands. I needed a mirror with great lighting and not dependent on a power outlet. All earned themselves several trips to Goodwill. They either didn’t provide enough lighting or required me to change batteries too often that it was costly and annoying. I’m 100% satisfied with Simple Human! The lightning is great, so bright and consistent and last couple weeks per charge. The motion detector works great and that helps to keep the mirror clean since I barely have to touch it. I’m kinda thankful that magnifies x5 because I really don’t need bigger than that. I can still see clearly everything on my face down to the pore. Seriously, this is the only makeup mirror I will ever need in my entire life. It’s expensive but it’s a worthy investment considering how much I had wasted on other mirrors.

The product is amazing though pricy. The battery lasts a long time and is rechargeable.
The brightness is easily controlled. There is no distortion in the mirror and it’s height is adjustable. It includes a 10x detachable small mirror that attaches to the center of the main mirror via magnet. Very cool. It arrived early which was great. I broke the first one recently that I had for 10 years. I couldn’t live without another one!!!

This thing is pretty awesome. Motion sensor is sensitive, but the range is very limited so you can only activate it if you’re right in front of the mirror. This is a good thing as you don’t want accidental activations, especially at night. The brightness of the light can be changed via touch, although it’s a bit finicky. It does come with a microUSB cable for charging, but you can use any other cable for charging as well. Seems to last about a week on charge (my wife uses it for about 5-10 minutes at a time) so battery life is good. The mirror itself is definitely high quality – my wife keeps commenting how much longer it takes her to do her makeup now as she spots way more blemishes and application mistakes than she used to, so take that with a grain of salt!

While the mirror itself is good and when the light is on it is great for applying makeup, especially if you don’t have the best lighting. My issue with the product is that the sensor to turn the light on is absolute crap. It NEVER stays on even if I’m right in front of it and most of the time I have to tap the sensor several times for it to come on in the first place. It has been like this from the very beginning. For a little while I put apiece of cardboard on the sensor to make it stay on while I used it to apply my makeup but even that now does not work well. It still shuts off the light randomly. For the crazy high price, this mirror is a junk.

I read several unfavorable reviews on this unit, most all of them regarding the rechargeable battery pack. We installed it a few months ago and have had no trouble. 9 volt USB chargers are always problematic, so try an alternative one if you’re having charging problems. The automatic sensor on the light works as described, the light is bright, the mirror provides good magnification and my wife loves it. We have rattled around the problem of no electrical outlet near a conventional make-up mirror. This lamp solves the problem.
