   I didn’t want to mount the mirror I bought for my vanity desk. So I decided to buy a tabletop mirror. I did a lot of search, and finally this one caught my eyes. It’s simple design but looks elegant. It’s perfect size, big enough, but not overwhelming. It’s very easy to set it up, very stable, but not too heavy. Overall, I am happy with the mirror and recommend it.

   At first glance, I think this looks good. The mirror reflection is clear and distortion-free. The base is a nice neutral wood color. The matte black finish on the frame looks good. But after that brief moment I noticed how off kilter it looks… it almost looks like the mirror is trying to roll away. I put a measuring square in the photo so you can see what a straight line is compared to how tilted the leg on the left is. It’s much more obvious in person than it is in my photos, I don’t know why it photographs so well but is so noticeably crooked in person – but I tried my best to capture it. Trying to bend it wouldn’t do anything because it’s just welded to the mirror in the wrong spot – if I managed to tilt it straighter then the right leg would just become more crooked – and probably damage the metal, the finish, and the welds in the process because the metal is so thick and sturdy and it does NOT want to bend. I think I can hide this leg behind a plant or some sort of decor so it’s not unsalvageable. But at this price I’d expect there to be a little more attention paid to details like that. I can’t say I’d recommend it unless you are ok with such defects and potentially needing to find a way to hide them.

   I got this to reflect more natural light in my tiny north-facing studio. It has helped dramatically and is really lovely. Hanging mirrors (or anything else) in a rental is tricky – so having it on a stand works better for me. It is placed on a narrow console table and has a strand of large wood beads on the base. Couldn’t be happier.
