   I love this mirror. It is heavy duty, not flimsy. I mounted it in my bathroom next to the main mirror because I needed a magnifying mirror to do my makeup (getting old and cant see lol). I love that I can pull it out to use it and then push it flat against the wall when Im done

    This mirror was worth every penny. Pipes broke in powder room so I refinished the bath. Added a new sink that has one of those basin over hangs, and put in a new recessed medicine cabinet, the one before was not recessed. I always use this bathroom to put on my make up, tweeze, etc. I have a terrible time trying to fill in the sparse eyebrow. Anyway when I tried to put on my makeup for the first time between my somewhat protruded belly, the basin overhang and the recessed mirror, by the time I was done I looked like a clown. My eyesight is not what it used to be either. I purchased this mirror because the one side was a true mirror and the other side was 7 times magnification. To me, anything over that distorts my face by almost splitting it in two and I find very hard to use. Anyway, I hung this mirror up beside my medicine cabinet at a spot where I can see my face perfectly. It pulls out for a better view and can be positioned to go against the wall when not in use. It is perfect. My eyebrows actually look better than they did when I was using my old medicine cabinet. I have no makeup lines and can easily touch up if I go out of line. One of the best purchases I have made. Don’t know how I lived without it all these years. Spend a little more get the best. I’m actually finding that out the hard way through other purchases.

    I just love this mirror: Arrived quickly, it’s easy to install (I used self drilling anchors instead of the ones it came with), it’s sturdy, it’s stylish and the 8x magnification is awesome for getting your make up done. I also like this extension set up much better than the scissor option as it doesn’t pull on the wall mount plate. Great purchase worth every penny.

    This Jerdon Mirror is dual sided with a 1x standard mirror on one side and an 8x magnification mirror the the other. It is not a lighted mirror. The quality of the 8x is magnificent! Whether your face is 10″ away or 1″ you can see your entire face clearly; edge to edge, in this 8x magnifier side with NO Distortion! You can see in the photo. that the underside of my hand reflected in the mirror, is perfectly clear. My hand is 10″ away. Trust me as I have ordered 2 different brands as well as posted this distortion question on two others and each of them would show distortion at least 4″ around the mirror from the edge to the inside if you’re face was more than 4″ from it! I felt like my nose was so close! Not to mention you’re so close you cannot see your entire face clearly. You simply cannot go wrong with this Jerdon Brand. The only issue is that, over time, the swivel wears out causing the arm to tilt under the weight of the mirror. My old one lasted 8 years.
