   I needed two mirrors but wasn’t sure if this one would work for me, so I only bought one to start. After testing it out, I went looking for a second and found what looked like an identical mirror from another brand—for $10 less. Seemed like a great deal… until it arrived.

   Let’s just say, that cheaper mirror was a freakish phenomenon. On the magnifying side, the reflection actually turned your face upside down. Not even kidding—it was like something out of a funhouse. Total fail.

   This mirror, though? Absolute perfection. Clear, sturdy, and the magnifying side works exactly as it should. In hindsight, I wish I’d just bought two of this one from the start. Lesson learned. Love this mirror!

    This mirror magnifies by about 1 million. Be prepared to see yourself very close up. Once I got used to that, I liked it because I feel like I can take good care of my skin and have better attention to detail with my make up. I see things in this mirror that I could not see standing before my regular mirror. I like that it lights up and also that you can change the type of light. It was quick and easy to install. There is the magnifying side and also a regular side. I flip it back back-and-forth depending on what part of my make up I’m doing. The magnifying side takes some getting used to. You have to focus in on a very small area, but it’s really nice once you get used to it.

    This mirror, well two since it is double-sided, is a perfect addition to the bathroom, especially in darker rooms. The rim around both sides of the mirrors on both side is lighted and has settings from bright to dim. In addition, shades from daylight, fluorescent, and incandescent can be selected to allow just the right look for any situation. Being a total surround light the lighting is flat with no shadows to distract. The installation is simple and consists of unscrewing the two knob nuts from the front and removing the mounting plate. Simply use the two mounting screw anchors and the screws to secure the plate. Then just put the mirror unit on top and reattach. Note, that the first unit I did receive didn’t work at all. However, I returned it for a replacement, and that arrived from gigamirror.com before I even went to UPS and sent the broken one back. I won’t take stars for this away as the unit is great and sometimes happens (when I was in the tech world we called this infant mortality.)
